Reviews for the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10 YT3-X90L

86% Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10 Tablet Review | Notebookcheck
Well-conceived. The Pro version of Lenovo's 10-inch Yoga tablet is in a completely different price range than its smaller members. This is also noticed in all areas, starting with the casing over the screen, the integrated projector - even the accessories are higher quality. Moreover, the good battery life makes the device a really decent tablet.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is primarily a media consumption device. It has a big, sharp screen, excellent speakers, decent audio even with headphones, and a built-in projector that will come in handy for presentations and the like. It looks good and has decent battery life. The adjustable stand means that you can position the tablet however you like, and there's even a decent set of cameras. For the very specific purposes that use these attributes, this is an excellent device. However, it is not an all-rounder of a device, and it will disappoint you in other ways.

A tablet with an in-built projector certainly sounds exciting, but unless you actually need such a device, the Yoga Tab 3 Pro isn’t for you. A gorgeous QHD screen backed by a powerful CPU and mediocre GPU make for an awkward device that only makes sense if you’re fascinated by the projector and nothing else.

The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is touted as the ‘ultimate video tablet’, and this is exactly what it’s designed for. If you love watching multimedia on the go, or curling up in bed to watch Netflix or YouTube videos, then this is the tablet for you. A superb screen coupled with impressive audio will make this a great buy for video junkies, and the built-in projector is just a bonus, even if you never end up using this feature.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a long-lasting tablet with a vivid display, awesome speakers and a built-in projector that's pretty fun, even if it's not the most powerful. If you don't plan to beam content onto a wall, you should consider other alternatives, like the Pixel C, which has a more colorful display and better performance.

So, if you're looking for a tablet that can project your favorite movies and YouTube videos, and you're willing to shell out $500, the Tab 3 Pro is a solid choice. If video isn't your primary concern, however, you might be able to get more use out the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, thanks its superior multitasking abilities. If it's apps you're after, there's still no better large-screen tablet than our Editors' Choice, the Apple iPad Air 2. And if you're looking to save some money, the 8-inch Asus Zen Pad S offers a lot of bang for your buck.

Its more compact size makes it more travel-friendly, but they’ve addressed some design concerns we had with the previous model – namely the placement of the projector and certain aspects of the software. What’s really swell in all of this, is that it strikes a chord with both multimedia buffs and professionals that want to get work done. Indeed, its $499.99 price point means that it’s competing against the like of the Apple iPad Air 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch, and even the Google Nexus 9, but it certainly offers an entertaining package for the money. The specs are good, the software is improved, the battery life is long lasting, and the projector certainly has its added benefits.

Review: YOGA Tab 3 Pro — it’s all about the projector
Source: Slashgear English Archive.org version
The YOGA Tab 3 Pro is, first and foremost, a beautiful tablet. Whether you get much use out of the projector doesn’t matter much when looking at the product as a whole. The display is beautiful, and the hinge is an equal mixture of unique and functional. Add to this the leather back, front-facing speakers, durable construction, built-in projector, and more...well, to put it lightly, the tablet does everything a tablet should and more. Of course, the projector is a big part of the tablet and unless you’re very picky or expecting more than you should, you’ll be very satisfied with it. Being able to fire up a movie on the ‘big screen’ for impromptu movie nights was unexpectedly fun, and despite the projector’s small size, it held its own well.

If you're in the market for a well-rounded media device it’s easy to fall in love with the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro. The performance issues and the bulky design might be deal breakers for a select few, but on the whole this thing handles like a premium tablet should and pulls together elements that are hard to find all in one place. For £399 you get a metal-bodied tablet with an integrated kickstand, a vibrant QHD screen, great battery life, and expandable memory – that alone sounds like a good package, but the added benefit of the projector is the cherry on top of an already tempting offering from Lenovo and the most impressive Yoga tablet yet.

Review: Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro
Source: PC Authority English Archive.org version
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a tablet that doesn’t play by the conventional rules of the game. It’s quite heavy, pretty chunky and has a projector built into its hinge. Don’t barrel in thinking you can replace your TV with this tablet. To do so would be a silly move. The projector’s fun to play with but looks terrible in all but the darkest rooms. It is certainly a media device, though, with its stand and decent battery life propelling it into the tablet big leagues. Honestly, having expected to turn my nose up at the Tab 3 Pro, I’m kind of smitten with the thing.

Model: Lenovo, the largest PC manufacturer in China, is the fourth largest in the world. The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro 10 YT3-X90L is a 10.1 inch tablet with a built in projector, which is certainly a new way to enjoy movies and videos from a tablet. The rotatable hinge allows images to be projected to a wall or ceiling up to 1.78 m (70 inch). The QHD (Quad High Definition) display offers bright, sharp and impressive detailed images under different ambient light settings and at all angles. The Yoga comes with an Intel Atom Processor x5-Z8500, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It has a 13 MP auto focus camera at its rear and a 5 MP camera on its front. The 4 front facing JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos sound system delivers an impressive dynamic audio experience which no other tablet can boast of.

During continuous movie playback via projector and streaming from WiFi, the battery can last for an impressive 4.5 h. The battery in the cylinder of the innovative hinge and the kickstand on the side of the device shift the center of gravity and open up multiple usage modes: either hold, tilt it at various angles, stand it on a solid surface, or just hang it overhead. This model does not only have a durable metal chassis, but is also IP21 certified, which means it is splash proof. Standard accessories included in this model are Bluetooth 4.0, a microSD card reader, a micro USB port, and various sensors including G sensor, vibration sensor, ambient light sensor and E compass.

Series:

The Thinkpad Yoga is a series of ultrabooks manufactured by Lenovo. The Yoga Series was launched during 2012, and its successor, the ThinkPad Yoga 2, was released in the 4th quarter of 2014. Yoga laptops are made to be as light, thin and portable as possible, targeting the young and tech savvy consumers. The Thinkpad Yoga stands out due to its unique feature of being able to fold flexibly up to 360 degrees to switch to a tablet mode.

The Yoga Series started out in the end of 2012, with the Yoga 11 and Yoga 13 models, which are 11 and 13 inch respectively. Yoga 2 Pro was the second generation to be released end of 2013, a 13.3 inch model that is significantly lighter than the Yoga 13. The latest model to be released in the series is the Yoga 3 Pro, released recently at the end of 2014. This new model is even thinner and lighter than all its predecessors while maintaining the 13.3 inch size, although due to a more powerful processor the battery life is slightly reduced to just under 6 hours. Besides the ultrabooks, there are also the IdeaPad Yoga Tablets, which come in 8 inch and 10 inch models as well.

Intel HD Graphics (Cherry Trail): Integrated graphics card in the Cherry-Trail SoCs. Based on a Broadwell GPU (Intel Gen8) and supports DirectX 11.2. Depending on the SoC offers 12 or 16 EUs.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

10.10":

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.

In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.

In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.

78.68%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
