Earlier this year, Lenovo launched the Idea Tab Pro in the Indian market. Now, the brand has introduced a vanilla variant, the Idea Tab, albeit with some tweaked features. Appearance-wise, both the Pro and the base model look very similar to each other. However, the base model has a slightly smaller display compared to the Pro model. To be specific, the Idea Tab boasts an 11-inch IPS LCD panel that outputs at 2560 x 1600 pixels with 500 nits peak brightness and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. By contrast, the Pro model (curr. available at $379.99 on Amazon) features a 12.7-inch 144 Hz IPS LCD panel.
Under the hood, the budget-range tablet is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card. It runs the Android 15 operating system right out of the box, and the company promises two major OS upgrades (Android 16 and 17) and four years of security patches.
The Idea Tab also features a 7,040 mAh battery that supports only 20 W wired charging. For photography, an 8 MP and a 5 MP camera can be found on the rear and front of the device. Nonetheless, the tablet measures 245.59 x 166.15 x 6.9 mm (10.02 x 6.54 x 0.28 inches) and weighs 480 grams (1.06 lbs), excluding any accessories.
Other Lenovo Idea Tab specs include quad Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and AI apps like Lenovo AI Note and Circle to Search with Google. Moreover, the tablet can be optioned with a Tab Pen/Tab Pen Plus stylus and a folio keyboard accessory. Available in a single luna grey colorway, the Idea Tab WiFi + Pen variant starts at INR 16,999 (~$193.76), and the 5G + Pen variant is priced at INR 19,999 (~$227.96). Customers can now buy the tablet via Lenovo India’s official website and Amazon.
