Introduced to the world at CES 2024, the JBL Live Buds 3 TWS earbuds have been available in many markets since last month. Now, this innovative product that includes a touchscreen, which makes smartphone control redundant, is finally ready to hit Japan, where it will officially launch on July 18th for a price tag of 27,000 Yen (roughly $168).
In addition to the aforementioned 1.45-inch touchscreen, the JBL Live Buds 3 TWS earbuds come with no less than six beamforming microphones, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and support for the audiophile-grade LDAC codec, but also for the mainstream AAC and SBC audio transmission protocols, IP55-rated waterproofing, 10 mm dynamic drivers, hybrid noise cancellation with real-time adjustment based on the environment, multi-point connection, as well as a total autonomy of 40 hours. This generous battery life comes from the 10-hour autonomy provided by the earbuds while fully charged, plus the three full charges provided by the case, which supports both USB-C and wireless charging.
Those looking for the audio specifications of this piece of hardware should keep in mind the following: 20 Hz–40 kHz frequency response, 16 ohm impedance, 100dB SPL@1 kHz sensitivity, 97 dB maximum SPL, as well as a microphone sensitivity of -38 dBV/Pa@1 kHz. The color choices are silver, purple, black, and blue. Those interested in acquiring the JBL Live Buds 3 can find them on Amazon US for $199.95 (no discounts available at the time of publishing).
