The midrange 6 nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC will power the new smartphone alongside 2x2 Wi-Fi 6, an optional orange leather option, and a "Golden Portrait" feature which Infinix claims is the equivalent of a 2x optical zoom.

After having just launched its new InBook X2, Infinix is now gearing up to launch its first upper midrange sub-6 GHz 5G smartphone called the Zero 5G. The model, alongside the competing Oppo Reno6 5G, will be one of the few smartphones to utilize the 6 nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC.

The Zero 5G will sport relatively high-end features for a midrange smartphone including a large 5000 mAh battery, 33 W TUV Rheinland safe quick charge, UFS 3.1, LPDDR5, a 48 MP rear camera, 120 Hz display, and an internal heat pipe for sustaining higher clock rates for longer periods. LPDDR5 promises 29 percent faster performance than LPDDR4X while consuming 14 percent less energy in the process.

Visually, the Infinix will be available in Cosmic Black, Skylight Orange, and Horizon Blue. The orange option in particular will have a leather back which Infinix claims will be a world's first for any curved-frame smartphone.

The manufacturer has not announced specific prices, regions, or availability due to varying "market needs". If we are to guess, its launch price will likely be around $500 USD or higher not unlike the Oppo Reno6 5G which comes with the same processor but a smaller AMOLED touchscreen.
