The Huawei Watch Fit 3 smartwatch is receiving a new global update. Firmware version 5.0.0.17(C00M03) is a 110.5 MB file following a HarmonyOS 5 release at the end of 2024. This latest update brings a couple of changes relating to messaging and calls.
The change log for firmware version 5.0.0.17 states that users can now reply to messages directly from the Watch Fit 3. This is possible thanks to the addition of the Celia keyboard, and users have reported being able to respond to various types of messages, including SMS, Whatsapp and Messenger. However, it is worth noting that this feature is currently only available for Android users.
This update also brings a new call rejection feature for WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Telegram. Users can now choose not to accept calls from a linked smartphone via watch notifications. On top of this, the firmware is said to enhance system stability in “certain situations” without providing further details.
The firmware version 5.0.0.17(C00M03) update will be available to download via the Huawei Health app. This appears to be a phased rollout, though it is unclear when the update will reach all users of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 smartwatch.
