Honor has unveiled a new midrange smartphone, the X9d, in the global market. The company’s new Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4-powered smartphone comes with an FHD+ AMOLED display, a 108 MP primary camera, and a massive 8,300 mAh battery that supports 66 W wired charging.

Honor has launched its latest midrange smartphone, the X9d, globally. In case you don’t know, Honor’s new X9d is a rebranded version of the China-exclusive Honor X70, which debuted earlier this year in China. Spec-wise, the smartphone retains all the specs from the X70, except for the fast wired charging speed.

To be more precise, the X9d boasts a large 8,300 mAh silicon carbon (Si-C) battery. Unfortunately, Honor has paired this silicon carbon battery with slower 66 W wired charging support (the Anker Nano 100 W USB-C charger is currently available at $35.99 on Amazon). By contrast, the original X70 supports 80 W wired charging. It runs Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 out of the box, and there’s no word on software support from the brand.

The 5G-enabled smartphone sports a 6.79-inch AMOLED display that outputs at a resolution of 2640 x 1200 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. Dimensionally, the phone measures 7.76 mm (0.30 inches) in thickness and weighs around 193 grams (0.42 lbs). The front of the device is protected by aluminosilicate glass.

Under the hood, the IP69K-rated smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset paired with an Adreno A810 GPU, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB/512 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no storage expansion option here. On the positive side, you get the same circular camera island as the X70, featuring a 108 MP primary camera and a 5 MP ultrawide lens. Upfront, it has a 16 MP shooter for capturing selfies and video chats.

Available in midnight black, reddish brown, sunrise gold, and forest green colorways, the Honor X9d starts at MYR 1,499 (~$356) for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant, while the 12 GB + 512 GB model retails at MYR 1,699 (~$403). Interested buyers can now pre-order the device directly from Honor’s official store and other authorized retailers.
