Honor Band 6: Budget fitness tracker launches for ~US$37 with a large display, optional NFC and long battery life
Honor has unveiled its latest fitness tracker, the Band 6. The Band 6 features a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen covered in 2.5D glass and comes in two variants - one with NFC and one without NFC. The Honor Band 6 has a rather minimalist design, with no hardware buttons to speak of. Instead, all UI navigation and interaction is undertaken with the device's touchscreen.
The Honor Band 6 also packs a blood oxygen monitor, a heart rate monitor, and is waterproof up to 5 ATM. The fitness tracker supports Huawei TruSleep for sleep monitoring and can track menstrual cycles. According to Honor, the Band 6 should last up to 14 days between charges on its 180 mAh battery, while 5 minutes of charging will yield up to 2 days battery life.
Honor's latest fitness tracker states at CNY 249 (~US$37) for the NFC model, with prices rising to CNY 289 (~US$43) for the NFC edition. Pre-orders have already started for the fitness tracker, which is available in three colours. However, the Band 6 will not officially launch until November 11. The Band 6 can be pre-ordered from Vmall, but Honor is yet to announce if it plans to release the fitness tracker internationally.
