WB Games has revealed the minimum system requirements for Hogwarts Legacy, which include a Core i5-6500/Ryzen 5 1400, GeForce GTX 960/Radeon RX 470, 16 GB RAM and 85 GB hard drive space. The game is up for pre-order now and will be playable on February 10.

Hogwarts Legacy, the February 10-bound open-world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe is one of 2023's many high-profile releases. It will be available on PC/Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 on February 5, followed by PlayStation 4/Xbox One on April 4, and finally Nintendo Switch on July 25. Its system requirements for PC have now been revealed.

For a 720p 30 FPS Hogwarts Legacy experience with "Low" settings, one needs at least an Intel Core i5-6500/AMD Ryzen 5 1400, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960/AMD Radeon RX 470, 85 GB of hard drive space and 16 GB of system memory. A Core i7-8600/Ryzen 5 3600 plus GeForce RTX 1080 Ti/Intel Arc A770 is enough for a 1080p 60 FPS experience at "High".

Things begin to get interesting with the requirements for the "Ultra" and "Ultra 4K" tiers. Hogwarts Legacy requires a whopping 32 GB of system memory on top of an Intel Core i7-10700K/AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Graphics card requirements shoot up, too, asking for at least a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti/Radeon RX 6800 XT for 1440p and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti/Radeon RX 7900 XT for 4K.

The official WB Games support account confirmed Hogwarts Legacy will be Steam Deck verified at launch. However, it could come at the cost of visual fidelity, but the fact that it can run on a handheld is quite impressive. Unfortunately, the devs are yet to reveal the target resolution/framerate for current-gen consoles. It is a bit unsettling, more so in an era when many AAA launches are locked to 30 FPS due to technical limitations.
