Govee Floor Lamp 2 launches as new mid-range smart light
Govee has launched the Floor Lamp 2 worldwide. The new model is based on the older Lyra floor lamp, with more LED beads across the post and base, increasing the peak brightness from 1,500 lumens to 1,725 lumens.
The Floor Lamp 2 is described as an RGBICWW smart light, allowing you to choose from a wide range of colors and white color temperatures between 2,200K and 6,500K. These are configurable in the Govee app, where you can also select from 80 presets, such as Cherry Blossom and Fireworks, various effects and brightness levels. Plus, a built-in microphone lets you sync the lighting with music. Another upgrade is Matter compatibility, allowing you to add light to various smart home ecosystems like Apple Home and Google Home. Alternative controls are available via an accompanying remote and voice commands.
The smart floor lamp is 60 inches (~1521 mm) tall and is currently only available with a black finish; a silver version is coming soon to the US. Govee suggests that the Floor Lamp 2 is mid-range, retailing for $149.99/€149.99/£149.99. Plus, EU and UK customers are offered a launch discount, reducing the price to €119.99/£119.99; it is unclear how long these deals will last. Govee also recently announced the Floor Lamp Pro, which will go on sale later in April.
