Apple made a Battery Pack to mark the integration of MagSafe in the iPhone 12 series, then, strangely enough, never made another one.
The Cupertino giant had also removed the accessory from its Store by 2023. Nevertheless, those still in possession of the minimally-designed wireless power bank might be able to keep it in use - so long as they decide to upgrade to a new Pixel 10-series handset, that is.
The X user Paul J purports to demonstrate that the original Apple Battery Pack works with the new 10 Pro XL. The former might not officially support the latter's cutting-edge Qi2.2 spec (like the up-to-25W Ugreen MagFlow that is now available on Amazon), but might indeed be compatible nonetheless.
Apple did indeed contribute to the development of the universal wireless charging technology standard with its MagSafe expertise, which might be why the Battery Pack seems to work as well as a new Pixelsnap charger.
Therefore, the older gadget might be able to stay out of landfill a while longer in some cases. Meanwhile, Apple is believed to finally produce a new auxiliary charger for the iPhone 17 Air, even if its use might defeat the purpose of the allegedly razor-thin next-gen handset somewhat.
