Garmin readies new stable update for Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro with release of fresh beta software

Garmin has just released a fresh stable update for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon) after a prolonged beta development period. In summary, System Software 15.31 brings almost 100 changes to Garmin's latest high-end smartwatches, including 20 new features.

As it turns out, the Fenix 7 and its peers may not be far behind. For context, the Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7 and Tactix 7 last received a stable update at the beginning of March by way of System Software 20.22. Since then, it has delivered almost a dozen builds to beta testers, starting with Beta Version 21.04 at the end of March.

Now, Garmin has signified that a fresh stable update is on the way with the release of Beta Version 21.19. Specifically, the new beta update enables ECG functionality, which is a sign that Garmin is wrapping up its v21.xx beta development phase.

If all goes to plan, then we would expect the company to start pushing System Software 21.19 or an equivalent to Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7 and Tactix 7 smartwatches within the next few days or so. As it stands, Garmin has tested the following changes between System Software 20.22 and Beta Version 21.19.
