Garmin's next mid-range smartwatch has popped up again after initially surfacing earlier this summer. Confirmed to have the hardware necessary to take ECGs, the Garmin Venu 4 would be the second Venu release of the year after the Venu X1 that launched in June.

Garmin has just released the Fenix 8 Pro (curr. $1,299 on Amazon) after introducing cheaper models like the Forerunner 570, Forerunner 970 and the Venu X1 earlier this year. However, it looks like the company is preparing to offer a cheaper option by way of a new Venu-branded option.

To recap, Garmin was spotted referencing the Venu 4 in July. While the company has since removed that reference from its Japanese website, it was picked up and preserved. Now, Garmin is at it again by including the Venu 4 on one of its many websites.

This time, the company has listed the Venu 4 alongside the Venu 3 rather than instead of it. In other words, it seems unlikely that someone referred to the unreleased smartwatch in error. At this stage, it is unclear what the Venu 4 could bring to the table over the Venu 3. Likewise, it remains to be seen whether Garmin has a dedicated Plus or S variants planned. Nonetheless, the timing of the Venu 4's reappearance indicates that we are likely to see an official launch before the end of the year at the latest.
