The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ (or Plus) are 2020 premium tablets launched by Samsung in the same "Mystic" color options as their nearest phone equivalent, the Note 20 Ultra. Now, however, the OEM also offers the slates in its newer S21-series Phantom Navy shade. They will also reportedly have a new 512GB internal storage top end soon.

The leaker Roland Quandt has posted on Twitter to point out that Samsung has started to offer new options within the Galaxy Tab S7 series. They are finished in the new Phantom Navy color option in which the Galaxy S21 Ultra is also sold (exclusively through the OEM's own channels, at present). The tablets were only available in Mystic Silver, Black or Bronze up until now, but look refreshed in their new shade, which is also of course applied to their bundled S Pen.

The new SKUs have been spotted on Samsung Germany's website, and are available for both the Tab S7 and higher-end S7+. Their Wi-Fi only versions currently start at €661 (~US$796) and €955 (~$1,150) respectively.

Phantom Navy flagship Samsung tablets with LTE or 5G also now exist, although they only come in Tab S7 and S7+ flavor respectively. They cost €752 (~$905) or  €1,137 (~$1,370) depending on their mobile connectivity.

These slates - even that last, most expensive option - top out at 256GB of internal storage. However, Quandt also now claims that the Tab S7+ will also step up to 512GB soon, even if they are not on official websites yet.

Therefore, this news might serve as a tipping point for some consumers hovering on the edge of buying a new Galaxy Tab S7 device. Then again, they are to be advised that a new leak suggests their immediate successors will come to replace them soon.

They are currently painted as not much more than refreshed units with the newer Snapdragon 888 SoC in place of the 865. Then again, this might mean they also continue to hit all these existing tablets' best notes, which include 120Hz displays, large batteries and 45W fast charging. Furthermore, it now looks like the putative Tab S8 and S8+ could come in Phantom Navy as well.
