Samsung's next Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S25 FE, is all set to debut later this year. We now have our first look at it, thanks to OnLeaks and SammyGuru. And to nobody's surprise, it uses the same cookie-cutter design found on other Samsung devices.
The Galaxy S25 FE (SM-S731B) is virtually indistinguishable from its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE. All the familiar design cues are accounted for: vertical cameras with LED flash, a hole-punch display, and all buttons stacked on one side.
It measures 161.4 mm × 76.6 mm × 7.4 mm, making it thinner than the Galaxy S24 FE. Specs-wise, the Galaxy S25 FE might tear a page from the regular Galaxy S25, complete with a 12 MP front-facing camera and everything. Unfortunately, it won't get the blazing-fast Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC. Users have to make do with the last-gen Exynos 2400 found on the Galaxy S24 series.
The Exynos 2400 is barely faster than the Exynos 2400e found on last year's model, making the Galaxy S25 FE even less attractive in comparison. Samsung will have to think of other improvements to make it a viable purchase, and the only real avenue is software. Or some surprise camera upgrades that will eventually surface later. A price cut would be nice, too, but that's unlikely to happen given the market situation.
