A retail listing has revealed some information regarding an upcoming Corsair Ultralight wireless gaming mouse. It looks as though the refreshed Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight will launch soon with updated polling rates, a switch to a symmetrical design, and an ultralight shell coming in at just 36 g. September 12 update: CAD prices spotted.

Update: A Reddit user,  u/kleronov, has spotted the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight in a Memory Express location in Canada for a retail price of CAD 154.99, which converts to roughly $112, suggesting that this will likely be close to the US retail price. The redditor also mentioned that the mouse is incredibly lightweight and has a "very grippy texture" after having handled the mouse.

The latest gaming mouse trends have seen weight come down and polling rates skyrocket, while comfort and shape are still touted as the deciding factor for many gamers looking for a modern, high-performance gaming mouse. According to the latest leaks, Corsair looks to be embracing the ultra-light and ultra-fast trends whole-heartedly with what looks to be an upcoming Sabre V2 Pro. The leak in question comes courtesy of Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi, which provides basically a full spec sheet for the new ultralight gaming mouse as well as a potential release date and price.

Corsair Sabre V2 Pro - specs and features

Much like the Keychron M7 8K we recently reviewed, the leaked Corsair Sabre V2 Pro will supposedly feature an 8 kHz polling rate and up to 33,000 DPI sensitivity from the Corsair Marksman S sensor, which is the same one featured in a handful of prior Corsair gaming mice. The listing also quotes a total weight of just 36 g for the Sabre V2 Pro, which is less than half the weight of its predecessor and significantly lighter than competitors like the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Lightspeed, which comes in at 60 g and retails for $179.99 on Amazon. It will be available in both black and white, although there's no word on whether the two colour options will have different coatings or textures applied.

A few more tidbits about the upcoming Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight were also revealed. For starters, users looking to customise the mouse will be able to use a web driver — a feature we've often praised in reviews of mice like the Keychron M6 8K. Additionally, the Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight will seemingly support only 2.4 GHz for wireless connectivity, and the leaked listing quotes a 70-hour battery life figure at 1,000 Hz polling, which is reasonable for a mouse with such a light weight.

The biggest change, and likely a make-or-break for owners of the Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight's predecessors, is the switch from an asymmetrical ergonomic shape to a symmetrical shape with a mid hump, somewhat reminiscent of the aforementioned G Pro X Superlight. The marketing material says that this makes the mouse "optimised for all grips" — a claim at least somewhat supported by the provided dimensions of 119.5 × 62.5 mm and 38.21 mm tall, which put the mouse in a sort of middle ground for size. The symmetrical design also makes it somewhat more appealing to left-handed mouse users, although the lack of mirrored buttons limits that use-case.

The Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight will supposedly retail for AUD169, which converts to roughly $112.50, although this raw conversion doesn't account for any import duties, tariffs, or other regional pricing changes, so it may end up costing around the $100 mark, like many of Corsair's other gaming mice. The Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight will also come with optional grip tape and alternative mouse skates, which aren't an insignificant value-add, especially for those who like to tune their gaming mice.
