The Sony Xperia 10 VII has debuted as an Android 15 smartphone with a 120 Hz 6.1-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, and AI-enhanced features. The mid-range phone provides owners with up to two days of battery life and four years of OS updates.

Sony has unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the Xperia 10 VII, in charcoal black, turquoise, and white.

The 120 Hz 6.1-inch OLED display has a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels (19.5:9 ratio) and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Inside the dust- and water-resistant body, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 CPU with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (expandable up to an additional 2TB using microSD card) powers the Android 15 smartphone through the next four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery that can last up to two days of use, according to the company.

A dedicated shutter button on the side frame allows users to quickly launch the camera and take photos up to 30 fps using the 50 MP 1/1.56-inch main sensor with a 24 mm f/1.9 lens or 13 MP 1/3-inch wide angle sensor with a 16 mm f/2.4 lens on the back, or the 8 MP 1/4-inch selfie camera with a 26 mm f/2.0 lens on the front. Photos and videos are stabilized with hybrid optical and electronic image stabilization, helping owners take sharper low-light shots, according to Sony.

The camera system can apply AI auto exposure and color looks to photos. AI is also used in Magic Editor photo editing app and Video Creator app to quickly perfect and publish media for social media sharing, according to the company. Google Gemini AI chatbot features are also present.

Sound is output through front-firing stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.4 wireless headphones, or 3.5 mm wired headphones. Compressed music formats such as MP3 files are automatically enhanced through DSEE Extreme AI-powered audio upscaling technology. Sony says its 360 Reality Audio with 360 Upmix spatial audio technology can automatically convert conventional stereo recordings into immersive ones.

The Xperia 10 VII measures 153 x 72 x 8.3 mm (6.02 × 2.83 × 0.33 in.) and weighs 168 g (5.93 oz.). The phone has an MSRP of £399 / €449 (~$525) and will be available in select regions in late September 2025, with pre-orders starting September 12th. It is unclear whether Sony will release the phone in the USA since their latest flagship, the Xperia 1 VII, has also not been offered there.
