Corsair has partnered with LG Display to deliver the XENEON 27QHD240, an MLA OLED panel with a QHD resolution and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The XENEON 27QHD240 also offers a 240 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

Corsair has introduced the XENEON 27QHD240, one of the first gaming monitors with an MLA OLED panel sourced from LG Display. For reference, another MLA OLED monitor is the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM, pre-orders for which opened last week. As for the XENEON 27QHD240, Corsair states that it outputs natively at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response times.

Also, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC are on hand to minimise image tearing. Additionally, the gaming monitor has DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C ports, plus a USB hub with four USB Type-A ports and a second USB Type-C connection. Corsair adds that the XENEON 27QHD240 has an adjustable stand, while its marketing images show that it can be rotated to a vertical orientation when needed.

Theoretically, LG Display's MLA OLED panels should deliver higher peak brightness than previous equivalents, while also providing wider viewing angles, lower risk of burn-in and approximately a fifth lower power consumption. According to Corsair, the XENEON 27QHD240 will peak at 1,000 nits; an SDR value remains unknown at this stage. Corsair will begin selling the XENEON 27QHD240 in May. The company has not revealed pricing information yet, but more details can be found on its German and French websites for now.
