Casio is launching the G-Shock G-Lide GLX-S5610-2 and GLX-S5610-4 watches in several European countries. These watches, designed in collaboration with professional surfer Bettylou Sakura Johnson, were released in the US in May 2025.
Now, Casio has listed the G-Shock GLX-S5610-2 (blue) and GLX-S5610-4 (pink) watches at its online stores in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. Each watch is priced at €99.90 and said to be “coming soon”, with no exact release date provided. Prospective customers are invited to sign up for an email notification when these products launch.
These new GLX-S5600 series watches are made for surfing, offering 20 bar water resistance. There are features like moon data, showing the age and phase of the moon, and a tide graph. The watches support world time, with 48 cities to choose from, and there is a 1/100 second stopwatch. Other features include a countdown timer, three multifunctional alarms, hourly time signals and flash alerts.
A white LED backlight should help you to read the digital display in low lighting, and the calendar is fully automatic to the year 2099. These shockproof watches run on a replaceable CR1616 battery, which should last for around three years. Each model measures 45.7 x 40.5 x 11.9 mm (~1.8 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 41 g (~1.4 oz). Whether or when these surfing watches could be released in the UK remains to be seen.
