Ayaneo has offered up more details about the Flip 1S, having focused on the new gaming handheld's design elements until now. For reference, the company continues to only refer to the Flip 1S as a dual-screen device. However, we would not rule out Ayaneo having created a successor to the Flip KB too.
At any rate, Ayaneo has now confirmed that the Flip 1S DS will launch with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, a Strix Point APU packing 12 Zen 5 CPU cores and a Radeon 890M iGPU. Fast becoming a popular option among gaming handheld manufacturers, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 can already be found in smaller options like the OneXFly F1 Pro (curr. $1,439 on Amazon) or even the Ayaneo 3 that launched earlier this year.
Moreover, Ayaneo has hinted that the Flip 1S DS will feature a larger secondary display than its predecessor as well. Currently, the company is keeping exact specifications close to its chest for the being. With that being said, we would not be surprised to see a return of the 3.92-inch AMOLED panel used in the Pocket DMG.
At any rate, Ayaneo has hidden the Flip 1S DS' control layout in plain sight, too. Embedded above after copious amounts of brightening, the Flip 1S DS appears to have smaller joystick caps than its predecessor, along with a redesigned d-pad. The handheld's ABXY buttons also have more travel this time around by virtue of being recessed into its bottom case. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen at this stage when the Flip 1S DS will be available to order, let alone for how much.
