Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 details leak along with device images
GSMArena has revealed information about the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4, a few days after the company introduced the GTS 4 Mini. While it seemed odd that Amazfit started the GTS 4 series with a Mini product, GSMArena's leak suggests that Amazfit is close to announcing other fourth-generation smartwatches. Unfortunately, GSMArena has not provided any indication of from where it found these images. However, they appear to be photos of actual devices, rather than renders.
According to the website, the GTR 4 and GTS 4 will feature almost identical internal specifications. Amazfit will continue to equip its GTR smartwatch with a larger battery capacity than the GTS, though. For example, the GTR 3 has a 450 mAh battery, 200 mAh more than the 250 mAh capacity that the GTS 3 possesses. Allegedly, the GTR 4 will receive a 475 mAh battery, with the GTS 4 made to settle for a 300 mAh alternative. Reportedly, the GTS 4 will last up to 7 days between charges, compared to the 12 days advertised usage with the GTR 4.
Separately, GSMArena asserts that the GTS 4 features a 1.75-inch AMOLED display operating at 450 x 390 pixels in the series' usual oblong design. With an aluminium chassis and a physical crown, the GTS 4 will be a lot like its predecessor. In saying that, the GTS 4 has a flatter design than its predecessor and without elements surrounding the digital crown. As the images below show, Amazfit will offer the GTS 4 with several straps, including several silicone options.
Conversely, the GTR 4 has a 1.43-inch display, also an AMOLED panel. GSMArena adds that the GTR 4's display will operate at 466 x 466 pixels, as well as supporting always-on display (AoD) functionality. Like the GTS 4, the GTR 4 sports an aluminium chassis and a crown, along with a secondary physical button. GSMArena has not reported when either smartwatch will debut, but the GTR 4 should be available with leather, nylon and silicone watch straps. A 4PD BioTracker 4.0 PPG optical sensor and dual-band GPD will be onboard for both smartwatches too, as will over 150 sports modes, courtesy of Zepp OS 2.0.
