Acer introduced multiple dual-screen portable monitors at the Computex 2025 event. The PD163QT is a smaller and more affordable model, while there is also a larger PD243Y E model.
Specifications and highlights
The Acer PD243Y E offers two vertically stacked displays connected by a hinge. With its 315-degree folding design, the PD243Y E offers portability for mobile professionals, allowing them to use dual screens on the go. The foldable kickstand allows users to position the monitor either in a vertical orientation for dual-screen use or tilted at an angle for easier viewing.
It features two IPS panels measuring 23.8 inches each with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. For a smooth visual experience, the panels have a refresh rate of 100Hz and a 4ms (GTG) response time. Additionally, the monitor ensures wide 178-degree viewing angles. The panel supports 16.7 million colors and covers 72% NTSC color gamut.
As far as inputs are concerned, it has two USB Type-C ports and one HDMI 1.4 port. Other notable features include built-in 2W dual speakers and support for VESA wall mounting.
Pricing and availability
The Acer PD243Y E will be available sometime in July 2025 with a price tag of €499. Those looking for a compact option can also check out the Acer PD163Q model with 15.6-inch panels, with a price of €399.
