Acer has shown off a pre-built gaming desktop alongside its laptops and monitors. The Predator Orion 3000 is a mid-range offering and is configured accordingly with mid-range hardware from Intel and Nvidia. It can be bought in July 2025 starting at EUR 1,299 ($1,455).
The Acer Predator Orion 3000 comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Arrow Lake desktop CPU with 8 P-cores and 12 E-cores. Its F suffix confirms the absence of an iGPU. Hence, you'll have to rely on the GeForce RTX 5070 GPU exclusively for video output. An 850 Watt PSU powers the machine, which is borderline overkill for the above hardware.
Acer hasn't specified the type of CPU cooler on the Predator Orion 3000, but you get a 120 mm fan at the front and rear. There's a prominent Predator logo on the front fan, above which you get two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. At the back, there's an RJ45 Ethernet port, three 3.5 mm audio jacks, four USB 2.0 Type-A ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
RAM maxes out at 32 GB DDR5-5600, and it isn't clear if more can be added. Interestingly, the Acer Predator Orion 3000 comes with just one 2 TB 7,200 SATA hard drive. There are two M.2 slots for further storage expansion. One can't help but wonder why an SSD was omitted, given it has become a borderline necessity in modern-day machines. Lastly, wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, but there appears to be no sign of Bluetooth.
