AceFit Air debut to offer open-ear work-out audio over Bluetooth 5.4 for just under $80
Acefast touts its new buds as the best new wearables for sports or exercise due to their support for up-to-date Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The AceFit Airs also boast the on-trend open form-factor, built using materials such as a flexible nickel-titanium ear-hook core in a "super molecular liquid silicone coating" to deliver enhanced comfort during prolonged wearing sessions.
The buds are also rated to weigh just 7.5 grams (g) each and to fit in an unusually slim case of just 1.04 inches (in) in total height. Nevertheless, they can pack drivers of an unusually high 20x8 millimeter surface area.
Acefast asserts that their "revolutionary 3-magnet super-linear speaker" and AELC digital technology boosts the depth of their bass by up to 30% (although compared to what is not given). However, their frequency range falls slightly short of the typical industry standard at 50-20,000Hz, and their sensitivity is rated at 90±2 decibels (dB).
Nevertheless, the AceFit Air open-ear earbuds might prove a good deal to some at an introductory price of $69.99 on Amazon (with a limited-time 10% off coupon) as they boast up to 36 hours of battery life (although Acefast concedes that figure might be closer to 25 in normal use with their quad-mic electronic noise cancellation (ENC) on) thanks to the 500mAh battery found in their compact case.
However, it should be noted that their codec support is limited to SBC and AAC, without the LDAC or even LHDC of higher-end earbuds.
