The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will have "killer displays"; 60 Hz for the Note 20 and no Note 20 Ultra though

All things being equal, Samsung should be releasing its next Galaxy Note smartphones in August. Rumoured to be called the Note 20 series to keep the Note line on par with the Galaxy S series, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will share the same launch date.

Now, a treasure trove of Note 20 series display information has been published by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) Described by @UniverseIce as "highly accurate leaks", Young claims that the Note 20 will have a 6.42-inch display, an increase of 0.12-inches over the one in the Note 10. This increase will result in a resolution of 2,345 x 1,084 pixels, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 404 PPI.

Similarly, the Note 20 Plus will feature a 6.87-inch display. 0.07-inches larger than the display in the Note 10 Plus, the Note 20 Plus will have a 19.3:9 aspect ratio, a 497 PPI and a resolution of 3,096 x 1,444 pixels.

Additionally, Young states that the Note 20 will have an LPTS panel that Samsung will restrict to 60 Hz. By contrast, the Note 20 Plus will have a 120 Hz and LTPO panel. Apparently, LTPS panels are capable of running at 120 Hz, but they consume considerably more power than LTPO panels do at such a high refresh rate.

Separately, Young asserts that there will be no Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Instead, Samsung will leverage the Galaxy Fold 2 as the "Ultra" smartphone that it launches later this year.

In short, the Note 20 series may be slightly larger than their Note 10 predecessors. Alternatively, they could have slightly higher screen-to-body ratios. There will be no 120 Hz across the board though, while the Galaxy Fold 2 will be Samsung's premier flagship of 2H20.
