reTerminal Sticky: 3.97-inch E-Paper display launches for smart homes

The reTerminal Sticky is a smart display—in the broadest sense—that is now available for purchase. Measuring 106 x 65.5 x 7.3 mm, the compact device features a 3.97-inch E-Ink panel with a crisp resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Despite what its name implies, it does not rely on adhesives; instead, it mounts magnetically to metallic surfaces such as refrigerators or fuse boxes.
Designed for versatility, the system supports custom firmware flashing. While it can serve as a compact E-Reader, it also functions as a smart home dashboard capable of displaying live weather updates or controlling smart devices, depending on the software installed.
A core feature highlighted by the manufacturer is its role as a digital memo board for households. Users can dictate voice notes, which the device transcribes and displays on screen, though voice input is currently restricted to English and Chinese. Displayed content is managed through the companion Seeedash app, which operates both over local Wi-Fi and remotely via cellular networks.
Connectivity is rounded out by 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, while its integrated 750 mAh battery recharges via USB-C. The reTerminal Sticky is priced at $50 and is currently available for pre-order, with shipping from China scheduled to begin on September 15.
