Deal | id Software 35th anniversary Steam sale brings big discounts on iconic games like Quake, Doom, Rage, and more

Few game developers can boast the legacy of id Software. With genre-defining classics like Doom and Quake, as well as modern masterpieces like Doom: Eternal under its belt, id Software is one of the most respected game developers around. The studio turned 35 years old on February 1st, 2026. So, to celebrate this milestone, id Software is currently running a big sale on Steam.
id Software’s 35th anniversary Steam sale brings exciting discounts on games like Doom, Quake, Rage, and more. However, the sale is only till February 15.
Doom Anthology
While we did report about Doom: The Dark Ages getting a discount a few days ago, id Software has also slashed the price of all mainline Doom titles. You can currently buy:
- Doom + Doom II for $3.99 (60% off)
- Doom 64 for $1.99 (60% off)
- Doom 3 for $3.29 (67% off)
- Doom (2016) for $3.99 (80% off)
- Doom Eternal for $7.99 (80% off)

You can get all of these games for even cheaper if you buy the Doom Anthology bundle for $27.67. The bundle not only features all of the above-mentioned games but also brings the Doom Eternal Deluxe edition, which gives you access to all post-launch DLCs.
Quake series
id Software’s 35th anniversary Steam discounts have also reduced the prices of Quake titles by considerable margins. For the uninitiated, the original Quake, Quake II, and Quake 4 are dark fantasy single-player FPS games. Quake 2 and Quake 4 also include multiplayer game modes. id Software also developed Quake 3, Quake Live, and Quake Champions as multiplayer-only games.
You can buy all Quake games as part of the Quake Collection Bundle for $14.20, a 60% price cut. If you don’t want to buy the entire bundle, you can also get individual titles at up to 75% off:
- Quake for $3.29
- Quake 2 for $3.99
- Quake 3 Arena for $4.94
- Quake 4 for $3.74
- Quake Live for $2.99
Rage, Heretic, Hexen, and Commander Keen
In addition to Quake and Doom, id Software has also discounted Rage, Rage 2, Heretic + Hexen, Hexen 2, and Commander Keen. All of these games are super cheap at the moment, with Rage coming in at just $2.99, while Rage 2, Heretic + Hexen, Hexen 2, and Commander Keen cost just $7.99, $10, $1.49, and $1.99, respectively.

One of the best things about id Software games is that they are super optimized. For instance, with a mid-range gaming laptop armed with an RTX 4070 laptop GPU, you can play Doom: The Dark Ages at more than 60 FPS at 1080p/Ultra. The same is true for other titles like Doom Eternal and Rage.
In other words, you can take full advantage of id Software’s 35th anniversary sale even if you don't have a powerful gaming PC.
