HTC 10 rumored to be the One M9 successor
The folks over at @evleaks are at it again with more unconfirmed information on unannounced smartphones. This time, they have their heads turned to the rumored HTC One M10, otherwise known as the successor to the current One M9. According to the source, the One M10 will simply be called the HTC 10 and is expected to be the swan song to the One series that started with the M7 in 2013.
It's possible that HTC will be wanting a new start with the HTC 10 instead of following on the footsteps of the One M8 and One M9, both of which didn't sell as well as expected despite the media praise. The new name also goes well with the recent official teaser where HTC is boasting the #powerof10 motto for its next flagship device.
We will likely find out more about the supposed HTC 10 smartphone in the coming weeks when the manufacturer is expected to unveil the model. More recently, HTC CFO Cia-Lin Chang teased its powerful camera features compared to the current competition. The manufacturer's disappointing financial results as of Q4 2015 shows that the future of the Taiwanese company may be riding on the success or failure of the upcoming smartphone.
