MagyarApple HomePod mini with 360° audio to launch in new countries in December
Apple has announced that the HomePod mini will be available in more countries, including Sweden, Norway and Finland, from December 13. The device combines a speaker with a smart home hub, running on an Apple S5 chip with integrated software to optimize music playback intelligently. The gadget has a full-frequency driver, two passive drivers and a neodymium magnet. A proprietary waveguide in the speaker's base enables a 360° audio experience.
You can link several units to create a stereo speaker system or repeat music in multiple rooms. You can also connect the gadget to an Apple TV 4K. The speaker has built-in microphones, allowing you to control the device, or other linked smart home products, with Siri voice commands. You can use an Intercom feature to send messages between linked HomePod minis. Plus, the hub has automatic Siri volume adjustment to match your room's sound and your voice's loudness.
The HomePod mini works with various Apple products, including the iPhone SE, iPhone 6S and later, iPad Pro, and iPad 5th generation onwards. As in other countries, the device will be available in white, space gray, yellow, orange and blue. The gadget is 8.4 cm (~3.3-in) tall with a mesh fabric color and backlit touch controls. The device comes with a braided power cable. The Apple HomePod mini will cost 1,295 SEK (~US$125) in Sweden, 1,249 NOK (~US$125) in Norway and €109 (~US$115) in Finland.
