Yunmi Viomi AI Smart Door Lock Super 2E with fingerprint scanner arrives
The Yunmi Viomi AI Smart Door Lock Super 2E has been launched in China. The gadget is Wi-Fi compatible, allowing you to connect the lock directly to your smartphone without needing a bridge. You can control the device via the Yunmi app and check if your door is locked in real-time. Plus, you can receive notifications if unusual activity is detected.
There are six ways to unlock the Super 2E door lock, including long-term and temporary passwords, an NFC card and a physical key. Plus, the gadget has a built-in fingerprint scanner with a 0.7 s response time and a 0.001% error rate. The device has a 5,000 mAh lithium battery, providing up to four months of battery life on a single charge. You can connect the smart lock to other gadgets; for example, you could trigger smart lights to turn on when you unlock the door on your return home.
The gadget has an aluminum alloy casing and measures 400 x 75 x 73 mm (~15.7 x 3.0 x 2.9-in). The lock is suitable for doors from 40 to 120 mm (~1.6 to 4.7-in) thick. You can currently pre-order the Yunmi Viomi AI Smart Door Lock Super 2E in China for 1,499 yuan (~US$214) with a 50 yuan (~US$7) deposit. The MSRP of the device is listed as 2,099 yuan (~US$300).
