The GE Profile Smart Mixer with Auto Sense has launched in the US. The gadget has a built-in scale which you can use to measure your ingredients, saving on washing up. Auto-Sense technology uses torque sensors to detect changes in the viscosity of your mixture and optimize the process. The feature ties in with the SmartHQ app, where you can select from guided recipes, providing a step-by-step breakdown of the method. An integrated display at the front of the device shows information such as the mixer's speed, timer and ingredient weight.
The Profile Smart Mixer has a status notification light ring indicating the job's progress, and the mixer will automatically turn off when a timer ends or if the gadget overheats. Plus, you can control the smart mixer with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. GE suggests it will provide OTA updates via Profile Connect+, enhancing the device and offering new recipes. The gadget comes with a stainless steel bowl, beater, whisk, dough hook and plastic shield. The intelligent device measures 11.3 x 14.0 x 17.1-in (~287 x 356 x 434 mm) and has a 7.0 qt (~6.6 L) capacity.
The GE Profile Smart Mixer with Auto Sense is exclusively available to pre-order in the US at Crate and Barrel for US$999.95. The gadget is available in black, silver or white; the black model is expected to ship in mid-December, while the other two versions are not due for dispatch until February.
