Deal | Zombie shooter with cult status and 94% positive reviews drops below $2 on Steam

In Killing Floor, England has been overrun by the so-called Zeds – mutated creatures created by a failed cloning experiment. The gameplay focuses on hard-hitting first-person action for up to six players, who fight increasingly dangerous waves of monsters. Defeated enemies drop money, which can be spent on better weapons between waves. The extensive arsenal includes shotguns, assault rifles, flamethrowers, explosives and melee weapons. A more detailed look at the gameplay can be found in our earlier article on the game.
Killing Floor was released in May 2009 and has since earned a certain cult status, especially among co-op shooter fans. On Steam, the title has collected more than 68,900 user reviews, 94% of which are positive. Players particularly praise the entertaining co-op gameplay, satisfying gunplay, varied class and perk system as well as the dense atmosphere. The large selection of weapons, maps and Workshop content also adds plenty of replay value. Criticism mainly focuses on the dated visuals, steep learning curve and sometimes overpriced DLCs.

On Metacritic, Killing Floor has a Metascore of 72 and a User Score of 8.2. On the Steam Deck, the co-op shooter is listed as “Playable” and, according to ProtonDB, runs without issues.
