Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will unveil the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra during its March 29 hardware event. It seems that the company will showcase the Mi 11 Lite 4G and Mi 11 Lite 5G too, based on the volume of leaks that made their way online in the last week or so. Likewise, the Mi Band 6 is another probable candidate to launch on March 29. However, we may get the first glimpses of Xiaomi's inaugural foldable smartphone next week, too.
According to a new report, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has certified the so-called Mi Mix 4 Pro, hinting at the device's imminent launch. The device in question is the M2011J18C, with the C suffix denoting that Xiaomi intends to release it in China.
The MIIT listing reports that the M2011J18C has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, effectively confirming it is a flagship smartphone. A 12 GB/512 GB configuration will also be available, which may be the entry-level edition. Little is known about Xiaomi's first foldable smartphone, but it is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC and a high-refresh-rate display.
Additionally, Ross Young believes that the device's display will fold around its frame, like the Mate Xs. Meanwhile, Xiaomi & MIUI News asserts that the device will have a transparent back, but that Xiaomi will only sell it in China.
