This 6.4-inch Android phablet has the same specs as the variant that launched in China, but its price in India is slightly lower - around $220 USD.

Xiaomi Mi Max is already available for purchase in China, and now it finally gets out and is ready to hit the second market. This market is India, where the 6.44-inch tablet has a very attractive price as well - about $222 USD at current exchange rate.

This large Android handset has specs and features similar to the ones of the Redmi Note 3 - Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, metal unibody design, fingerprint reader. A more powerful version comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and has 4 GB RAM, as well as 128 GB internal storage. However, these specs come for a price - around $296 USD.

Xiaomi Mi Max also features a 16 MP main camera and is powered by a 4850 mAh battery. The prices mentioned above include a special offer from Hungama that consists of one year of music and three months of free movies. This phablet will go on sale in about a week, but those interested can (and must) register for their purchase on mi.com already.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
