Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro: New leak reveals pricing and specs ahead of upcoming launch
Xiaomi launched the 13T in Europe last year, and the device received a 'very good' 88% rating in our review. While it had nearly half the charging speed (67W) of the 13T Pro (120W), it was a well-rounded budget flagship for its $599 price point. Now, as per the latest leak, prices and features of the 14T and its Pro version have been outed by well-known tipster @billbil_kun. The release date (although inaccurate) and chipset info for both the 14T and 14T Pro were previously leaked, with Geekbench scores revealing MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra and Dimensity 9300+ as their chipsets respectively.
As per latest reports, the French market will only see one configuration for each model, available in three colors: Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Blue. The Xiaomi 14T is expected to launch at the same price as its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13T (currently $459/€414 on Amazon), which was €649. The Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected to be more affordable than the Xiaomi 13T Pro (currently $593/$536 on Amazon), which was €899, despite offering less RAM (12GB instead of 16GB) and storage. Speaking of storage, the Pro variant is available in a 512 GB option, while the non-pro version is limited to 256 GB.
The Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2712x1220 pixels. Both models offer a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, AdaptiveSync for variable refresh rates, and a touch sampling rate of up to 2160Hz. The screens also support a peak brightness of 1600 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, TrueDisplay, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
In terms of cameras, both the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro feature a Leica triple camera setup. The main camera on the 14T is a 50MP Leica Wide-Angle Main Lens with OIS, a 1/1.56" IMX906 sensor, 1.0µm pixels, 2.0µm 4-in-1 Super-Pixel, and a focal length equivalent to 23mm. The 14T Pro has a slightly larger 50MP Leica Wide-Angle Main Lens with OIS, a 1/1.31" Light Fusion 900 sensor, 1.2µm pixels, 2.4µm 4-in-1 Super-Pixel, and a focal length equivalent to 23mm. Both models also feature a 50MP Leica telephoto lens with OIS, a 12MP Leica Ultra Wide-Angle Lens, and a 32MP front camera.
The 14T and 14T Pro both feature a 5000mAh battery. However, the 14T Pro supports 50W wireless charging, while there is no such confirmation for its lower-specced sibling yet. Both models are IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. Finally, the Xiaomi 14T measures 160.5 x 75.1 x 7.8 mm and weighs 195 grams, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro is slightly larger at 160.4 x 75.1 x 8.39 mm and weighs 209 grams.
Since Xiaomi did not unveil the devices on the previously leaked release date (August 23), we can expect a launch sometime in September. The Xiaomi MIX Flip is expected to launch in Europe alongside as well.
