XFX and EKWB are cooking a custom Radeon RX 6900 XT
XFX Speedster video cards are one of the many unicorns in the world of extreme hardware, with many wishing to grab one, but only a few ones lucky enough to acquire one. As it often happens with such products, this is more about scarce supply than the high price. Now, we just found out that XFX has teamed up with EKWB to deliver a new high-end custom video card with liquid cooling based on the Radeon RX 6900 XT.
According to the image that XFX shared on Gaming Tribe, the upcoming video card will hit the market as the Speedster Zero WB. Unsurprisingly, it will feature 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and PCIe 4.0 connectivity. Sadly, there is no hint regarding the stock and overclock speeds to expect, but if we had to judge based on the looks, future owners of this video card will get quite a beast.
"A sneaky peek of what’s to come #XFX #6900XT" is the short description that came next to the aforementioned image, but XFX already got some feedback and there's more than just chocolate and roses involved. As expected, the negative comments revolve around the insane price to expect and the target audience.
As one Gaming Tribe user says,
"It's going to sell either way, be it a lucky user, or the increasingly more resourceful scalpers.
On one side, very happy consumers.
On the other, someone who will flip it for more than you sold it for.... and upset consumers!!!"
Before we see the upcoming XFX Radeon RX 6900 XT Speedster Zero WB with a price and all the technical details attached to it, we can take a look back at the US$1,700 XFX Speedster MERC 319 RX 6900 XT.
