Wuthering Waves unleashes Cyberpunk collab and Adam Smasher

Kuro Games used the Summer Game Fest stage to drop the final cinematic trailer for Wuthering Waves Version 3.4, titled "The Dream Not Dreamed." Launching June 8, the patch introduces a highly anticipated crossover event with Studio Trigger's acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series. The trailer highlights how Kuro Games is blending Night City's aesthetic straight into the open-world RPG's post-apocalyptic universe.

Exploring Somnoire: Night City and fighting Adam Smasher

The core of the collaboration unfolds within a localized, limited-time event zone named Somnoire: Night City, an alternate reality constructed from Lucy's memories. Players navigate this cybernetic distortion through the main event quest, At Dream's Edge. Expect to clear out data-corrupted Nightmare versions of regular enemies throughout the zone before unlocking the final tactical boss encounter against Nightmare: Adam Smasher.

This patch drops two new 5-star crossover Resonators into the gacha pools together with their limited-edition companion weapons. Lucy joins the roster as a Spectro Hybrid DPS character who fights at mid-range using her signature monowires via the Spectral Trigger weapon. Meanwhile, Rebecca functions as a fast-paced Havoc-element dual-pistol attacker wielding Skull Thrasher. Free-to-play players can claim Rebecca completely free of charge by participating in the Phantom Rapid Unit limited-time login event window.

Outside of the crossover content, Version 3.4 brings important quality-of-life fixes to the base client. While the Summer Game Fest footage focused heavily on the immediate Cyberpunk content, the closing frames included a brief visual teaser for the upcoming Version 3.5 region update. This expansion will introduce the new Mengzhou / Wuling territory when Phase 2 launches later this summer, featuring the debut of the 5-star character Lucilla. The Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 update deploys tomorrow on iOS, Android, PC, and PlayStation consoles, with the Cyberpunk banners running until July 9.
