At CES 2025, Asus has introduced a fresh lineup of ROG Strix gaming laptops. The company has announced two models - The 16-inch ROG Strix G16 and the 18-inch ROG Strix G18. Both models will be available in Intel and AMD variants, so buyers have the flexibility to choose. We have already covered the AMD iterations in a separate news article, so we will be talking about the Intel versions here.
To start with, the laptop will be powered by the newly launched Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which is specifically designed for high-power laptops. To add to that, the graphics will be processed by Nvidia’s much-awaited Blackwell GPUs - the RTX 5000 series. The highest configuration possible here seems to be the RTX 5080. Interestingly, the laptops can have up to 64 GB DDR5 5600 RAM and up to 2TB SSD, which is more than what the AMD counterparts have to offer. Further, one of the SSD slots features support for PCIe 5.0, which makes it fit for upgrades.

The next highlight here is the gaming laptops’ display. As mentioned earlier, there are two models - ROG Strix G16 with a 16-inch display and ROG Strix G18 with an 18-inch display. Both laptops will come with a ROG Nebula display, a 2560x1600p resolution, and a 240Hz refresh rate. The laptop also features a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut with Pantone Validation, which should be useful for creative professionals.
As far as cost is concerned, the starting price is 1999.99 USD, and it’d add up with better configuration. This starting price is slightly more than the AMD variants’ starting price of 1899.99 USD.
