Deal | Well-reviewed space shooter with great visuals now under $10 on Steam

Everspace 2 focuses on one thing above all else: fast-paced, arcade-style space action. In intense dogfights, players dodge enemy fire, perform boost maneuvers and take down opponents using a variety of weapons and special abilities. Several spaceship classes are available, each offering noticeably different levels of speed, firepower and durability.

However, equipment is just as important as piloting skills. Much like in Diablo, a large part of the game revolves around hunting for increasingly powerful loot. Players collect weapons and modules, combine different abilities and gradually put together their own personalized builds. Anyone looking for a deeper dive into the game's mechanics can find more details in our previous article on Everspace 2.

Players probably shouldn't expect an Oscar-worthy story from Everspace 2. At least according to PC Games (in German), the narrative isn't exactly one of the game's strongest points. Fortunately, it makes up for that in other areas. The rewarding loot system, varied environments and different spaceships provide plenty of entertainment, according to the publication. The space shooter also made a good impression on the technical side. However, the reviewers would have liked to see a little more depth in combat and a more memorable soundtrack. Overall, PC Games awarded Everspace 2 an 8 out of 10. On Metacritic, Everspace 2 holds a Metascore of 81 and a user score of 7.6.

The game has also been well received by players, with 85% of more than 13,200 Steam user reviews being positive. It's rated Steam Deck Verified, so it should run without major issues on Valve's handheld.

80% off on Steam

Everspace 2 normally costs just under $50 on Steam. However, an 80% discount brings the price down to $9.99 until November 15. According to SteamDB, this matches the game's previous all-time low, last reached during the Steam Autumn Sale.
