The VoltaGo Max, a new power bank and charging solution, is now being financed as part of a crowdfunding campaign. Supporters can purchase the device for a minimum contribution of $120. Global shipping is possible, with delivery expected to take place in April. As always, potential buyers should inform themselves about the risks of crowdfunding campaigns.
The VoltaGo MAX is advertised as having both a high capacity and a high output, namely 27,000 mAh and 223 watts, respectively. The 223 watts designates the maximum cumulative output power via all four ports and the Qi2 wireless charging pad; up to 140 watts can be output via a single USB-C1 port. This means that the VoltaGo Max can charge five devices simultaneously, including most laptops.
Aside from the 140W USB-C port, the other two USB-C ports support a maximum output of of 45 and 20 watts, while the USB-A port can output up to 18 watts. Compatible devices can be charged wirelessly via Qi2 with up to 15 watts. The power bank itself, which measures 21 x 9.5 x 2.7 centimeters and weighs 625 grams, can be recharged with 100 watts in 2.5 hours. Lastly, an LCD display is installed, which shows the remaining capacity, input/output power, recharging time and temperature.
