Reviews for the Vivo iQOO 9

The iQOO 9 is an excellent all-rounder with many great treats that should give it an edge over any competitor - gimbal OIS, a zoom camera, the pressure-sensitive Monster Touch layer, and the 120W fast charging, to name a few. We also found its screen and performance to be of a flagship origin, and the iQOO 9 surprised us with excellent photo and video quality. Even better, the iQOO 9 demonstrated some excellent battery life, a stable Funtouch launcher, and it can be a very good gaming smartphone. We also got a promise for two major Android updates and three years of security patches. The iQOO 9 has its shortcomings, though. It is not a water-resistant device, and the speaker quality is hardly impressive. But there is something of a bigger concern - the overheating. We all know that the Snapdragon 888+ generates a lot of heat under pressure, and there is no passive cooling that can handle it for hours. That's why Asus and ZTE are using actual fans for that. It's fine. But having no thermal control and throttling and relying instead on the overheating failsafe is not healthy for the phones or the users.

iQOO 9 has a powerful set of hardware, including a Snapdragon 888+ processor with 12 GB of RAM and an additional 4 GB of extended RAM, which delivers flagship-level performance. It also features a vivid and crisp 10-bit Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Fast charging is a significant feature of the iQOO 9 5G, with a whopping 120W FlashCharge fast charging. IQOO is moving in the right way, however, they need to improve their camera performance. Additionally, there is no IP rating for the phone, meaning it won’t survive in water. Despite its flaws, the iQOO 9 is still a good smartphone with a stylish design, solid specs, and a lovely display. The IQOO 9 5G is a good choice if you really want a powerful gaming smartphone and don’t mind the decent camera performance.

iQOO 9 is a good phone at its price with commendable performance and decent cameras. The heating issue can be solved with updates to some extent and apart from that, it offers some great features such as 120W charging, gaming exclusive software features & more. This makes it a solid offering in its segment. iQOO has worked towards building a good brand Reputation Since it debuted in India back in 2020 with the iQOO 3. With the launch of the iQOO 9 series, iQOO is entering a whole new league with 9 Pro as its price is above Rs 60,000. However, the more affordable flagship is the iQOO 9, which starts at Rs 42,990 for the base variant and Rs 46,990 for the top model. This pricing places it in a crowded section where you have the OnePlus 9RT (Rs 42,999), Xiaomi 11T Pro (Rs 39,999), and Realme GT 5G (Rs 37,999). Within such a competitive space, let’s look at what the iQOO 9 has to offer that can set it apart. The very first element in which the iQOO 9 stands out from the crowd is in terms of design, specifically the Legend Variant which comes with three stripes at the back that are inspired by BMW’s colour scheme.

The Vivo iQOO 9 smartphone is available globally and game enthusiasts must try their hands on this smartphone as its main highlights are gaming & performance. But what is more interesting is that you will receive decent camera software support too with this phone. Furthermore, two years of Android updates and three-year security updates. So, there’s nothing to worry about the software updates and enjoy the latest versions without any hassle. Although there are a few cons like no IP rating, low-video recording quality, and many more. But, despite all the other features are really worthy. Still, if you find it over-priced then you may compare and consider the iQOO Neo 5S or the Galaxy S21 FE as an alternative option but the final decision is yours according to your requirements.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
