The Vivo Y400 will feature a 120 Hz Full HD+ AMOLED screen, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor. However, perhaps the most intriguing selling point is its water resistance, with the company claiming that it's immersible up to 6 meters for 30 minutes, similar to the newest iPhones.

Vivo has just listed the Y400 on its Indonesian website, meaning that the official launch is likely not far off. Up front, the 4G handset packs a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness.

On the back, there's a 1/2.96" 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 main camera joined by a 2-megapixel depth sensor as well as the distinctive-looking Dynamic Light, which essentially acts as a notification LED. The handset is just under 8 mm thin and weighs 196/198 grams (depending on the colorway), yet it packs a 6,000 mAh battery, with Vivo boasting that it will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles (Anker 10,000 mAh power bank curr. $17.99 on Amazon).

Another strong suit for the phone is its ingress protection, as it features both IP68 and IP69 certifications. It even survived at a depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes, above and beyond the standard test conditions for submersion.

The Vivo Y400 will be available in two colorways—Purple Dusk and Tropical Green—but pricing, release date, and availability in other regions remain unknown for now.
