Vivo X500 Pro camera leaked, skips 200MP camera

Digital Chat Station recently shared key camera details about the Vivo X500 Pro on Weibo. The leak confirms that the X500 Pro will not be getting the 200MP sensor, which will be exclusive to the Pro Max.
Instead, the X500 Pro will have a 50MP primary sensor, which is large at 1/1.28 inch, along with a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It seems Vivo will opt for a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with about 3x optical zoom for zooming.
Many expected the company to use the popular OmniVision OV64B sensor, but the leaker clarified that Vivo is using Sony’s new IMX06H sensor instead. The phone is also being tested with MediaTek's upcoming 2nm Dimensity 9600 series chipset under the hood.
Other than the processors and lenses, the X500 Pro has a fairly impressive hardware list for a compact device. It is reported to have a 6.37-inch flat OLED LTPO display with support for a 1.5K resolution. The phone is also said to pack a massive 7000mAh battery.
The phone is expected to ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 out of the box. Vivo has not yet announced an official release date, but it could be as soon as September, with a global launch following later in November or December.
