Pros
Cons
The Vivo V70 Elite is a premium addition to Vivo’s V70 lineup, pairing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with an Adreno 735 GPU and either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. It features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a sharp 2750 x 1260 resolution. A key highlight is its ZEISS-backed triple rear camera array, led by a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, plus a 50MP selfie camera. Battery life is positioned as a major strength thanks to a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon cell, alongside modern connectivity like 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.4. Aggregated impressions place it around the low-80s in overall rating, with reviewers calling it a wholesome, refined package that feels premium in daily use. However, commentary also notes its high price and that many of its strengths can be found in the cheaper V70, while Vivo’s X-series alternatives may offer stronger overall value.

Reviews for the Vivo V70 Elite

The Vivo V70 Elite arrives officially on February 19, 2026, and went on sale from February 26. It feels premium the moment you hold it. The phone measures 157.5 x 74.3 x 7.4 mm and weighs between 187g and 194g depending on the variant. You get a glass front, an aluminum alloy frame, and either a glass or fiber-reinforced plastic back. It also comes with strong IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it can handle dust, splashes, and even high-pressure water jets. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display is a real highlight. It supports 1 billion colors, HDR10+, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. With a 1260 x 2750 resolution and around 459 ppi density, the screen looks sharp and detailed.

The Vivo V70 Elite is easily the best phone out there for those seeking a flagship-level photography experience in the Rs 50,000 – Rs 55,000 price segment. The phone delivers very good main and telephoto cameras, which mainstream users will love, and comes with shooting options whose versatility and flexibility pro users will appreciate. It does not have the sort of processing power that some other devices in the segment have and is definitely not a gaming monster, but when it comes to photography, it can easily give phones with much higher price tags a run for their money. The Vivo V70 Elite is one for the phone photographers who want very good cameras, with plenty of shooting options, but are in no mood to splurge.

It also places the smartphone in close proximity to the X200 FE in Vivo’s portfolio of devices. On paper, the X-series smartphone appears to be a more promising offering, which starts at Rs 54,999. However, the Vivo V70 Elite has its own charm. The handset boasts a large 6,500mAh battery, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, ZEISS-backed triple cameras, OriginOS 6, and more. So who exactly should consider buying the Vivo V70 Elite? Read on as I tell you the reasons to buy and not to buy the smartphone, with inputs from its review.

The Vivo V70 Elite has been priced in India starting at Rs 51,999, putting it in the same territory as the X200 FE (review), a compact alternative from Vivo that offers a slightly more powerful chipset and a capable camera system. Moreover, the V70 Elite doesn’t differentiate much from the standard Vivo V70, except for the chipset, on paper. We’ll soon publish our detailed Vivo V70 review on the website to see how different the phone is from its elder sibling in the real world. Stay tuned. But, for now, if you’re not a specs nerd, the Vivo V70 Elite makes a strong first impression in real-world usage. The refreshed design feels lightweight yet premium, while the AMOLED display stands out with vibrant colours, strong brightness and an immersive viewing experience.

Vivo has come a long way with its V series, starting in the budget segment, then moving into the mid-range, and now delving deeper into the premium segment. It has addressed the right bits (build quality, durability, cameras, and battery life) to give this buyer the “flagship feeling”.

So, coming back to our question, where does the V70 Elite stand in Vivo’s lineup? The phone has an impressive camera setup, a premium design and display. But you get all of these in the cheaper V70 too. The one thing that separates the two is performance, and the difference is quite noticeable. While all these things do seem to make the V70 Elite a solid package, it still remains a step behind the X200T.

The Vivo V70 Elite is, at its core, a camera-focused smartphone that largely delivers on its promise. The 50MP Zeiss main and telephoto cameras produce detailed, natural-looking shots across focal lengths. Portraits are versatile, and selfies appear sharp with accurate edge detection. The Vivo V70 Elite is a well-rounded smartphone that justifies its place in the V70 series as the premium option, offering flagship features at a palatable price. Its compact design, stellar performance, Zeiss-backed cameras, and robust battery make it a top pick for most users. Is it the best? If you value balance over extremes, yes, it’s better than many mid-rangers and competitive with flagships. However, if you need wireless charging or a bigger size display, look elsewhere.
