After T-Mobile, Verizon has announced its monthly fee for Apple's new iPhone Handoff feature that allows using two phones with one number. The option is double the fee of T-Mobile, though.

Verizon has put a price on Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature that allows sharing a single phone number across two compatible iPhones, and it will cost $10 per month, double what T-Mobile charges for the service.

The option requires iOS 27 and works with the new iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro, as switching between the foldable iPhone and their regular candybar is the most likely scenario someone would want to use it in.

Verizon says you can switch the active device at any time while keeping full access to its 5G network. The idea is to carry the pocketable Duo, which has a 5.4-inch outer screen, on the go and use the iPhone 18 Pro for work, or the other way around. The phones are eSIM only in the US, so there is no physical SIM card to shuttle between the two, and Handoff would come in handy.

Verizon iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro deals

Preorders for the Duo opened on October 16, with a release date set for Friday, October 23. Switchers can get it for $72 per month on a 48-month payment schedule with the Simplicity plan. That breaks down to $42 for the 256 GB version of the phone and $30 for service at 0% APR. Enrolling in Verizon Loyalty skips activation and upgrade fees, which Verizon says add up to $40 per device.

New customers who buy the Duo and add a qualifying line can also get an Apple Watch Series 12 or an iPad on Verizon through monthly credits worth up to $600. Three months of Apple One is included, and then it costs $17 per month.

The iPhone 18 Pro needs no trade-in with Simplicity Pro on a 36-month plan. Buyers receive $1,200 in bill credits over 36 months. They can upgrade every year after paying off 33% of the device agreement and returning the phone in good condition.

Trade-ins matter on other plans, though. The MyPlan offer knocks up to $1,000 off a new iPhone when you add a line and trade in an eligible phone like Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra that is $300 off on Amazon. Business customers can get up to $1,200 off the Duo with a trade-in and a $20 monthly fee on top.

As usual, all credits are dispensed on equal measure over 36 months, so leaving early means losing the rest. Verizon also doesn't say whether the second iPhone needs anything beyond the $10 Handoff fee that is double what T-Mobile is charging for the same feature.
