Vasco Electronics has unveiled its latest handheld translator, the Translator Q1, in the US. The company’s new automatic translator is designed for real-time communication in up to 113 languages. First showcased at CES 2025, the Translator Q1 is now available for sale via Vasco’s official website. As for price, it is priced at $489 and comes in a single mystic plum color option.
Design-wise, the Translator Q1 looks very similar to the smartphone. It has a 3.54-inch IPS TFT display that outputs at 960 x 640 pixel resolution. On the backside, there’s a 13 MP Sony IMX258 camera with autofocus, which can be used to translate text from images. Dimensionally, the device is compact and lightweight, measuring 115 x 61 x 17 mm (4.52 x 2.40 x 0.66 inches) and weighing around 147 grams (0.32 lbs).
A 2,500 mAh battery powers the entire system and supports fast wired charging as well via USB-C. Speaking about core features, the Translator Q1 comes with AI-generated voice cloning, real-time phone call translation in 50+ languages, photo translation, text-to-speech with support in 82 languages, and touchless mode for a hands-free function for real-time voice translation.
Furthermore, the gadget also offers multiple functions such as customizable speech rate settings, automatic language recognition, and history storage. It has a built-in SIM card, which offers free lifetime internet for users. According to the manufacturer, the device can translate more than 113 languages and dialects in around 54 native languages.
Other features include a built-in flashlight, bottom-fired speakers, an MT8766V processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and a dust-, splash-, and drop-resistant design. For more details, head over to Vasco Electronics' official website.
