I don't know if anyone who really cares about the design of the handset he/she carries around as his/her daily driver ever chose a Google Pixel for the design alone, but if this happened in the past, the upcoming Pixel 3 XL is definitely not going to win over any crowds.
The latest hands-on images that show the Pixel 3 XL confirm that the display has a notch, as well as two other things: first, a variant with 4 GB of memory and 64 GB internal storage will hit the market (most likely next to at least one or two others); second, the white Google Pixel 3 XL will sport a contrasting-colored power button similar to the one used by the currently available white Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
According to the rumors that we heard in the past, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-powered Pixel 3 XL is supposed to feature a 6.2-inch display and an aspect ratio of around 19:9. Its smaller sibling is expected to keep things simple, offering a 5.4-inch display with a 2:1 aspect ratio. Sadly, it seems that none of the upcoming Pixel handsets will keep the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, as well as a single sensor for the main image snapper. Strange enough, there might be a dual-camera setup used for the selfie shooter, but this is something that remains to be seen.
Since the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL arrived in early October 2017, it is rather safe to assume that Google will launch the next generation around the same period of this year, just in time to have them on the market in most countries by December. However, nothing is official yet, so we should get ready for more leaks and rumors over the coming months.
