Ultrathin Oppo R5s hits the shops tomorrow

The Oppo R5s is a refreshed version of the superthin Oppo R5, launched earlier this year. The new handset keeps the razor-thin, 4.85 mm profile while bumping the RAM amount to 3 GB and doubling the on-board storage space to 32 GB (part of which is taken up by the operating system, of course).

Oppo R5s was officially announced two days ago but today we learned more about its pricing and availability. The handset’s price has been set to €199 (ca. $230) and it will be available for purchase on the Oppo Style online store starting tomorrow (August 25th). Initially, it will only come in dark gray. There’s no information about other color variants so far.

Apart from the upgraded memory and storage, there are no changes in specifications from the R5 model. The R5s will too come with a 5.2-inch, 1920 x 1080 AMOLED display, as well as Snapdragon 615, a 13 MP / 5 MP camera duo and a 2200 mAh battery. Unfortunately, there are no changes in the software department, either, which means the handset will still be running Android 4.4 KitKat.
