The Huawei Mate S is expected to make an appearance in just a few days at IFA 2015. A new leak, however, has already revealed its standout feature: A Force Touch display.
The Force Touch technology as found on the Apple Watch can distinguish between strong and light taps on the screen for the software to respond appropriately. Chances are high that the technology will be applied on the upcoming iPhone 6S as well, though it appears that Huawei will beat Apple to the market with the first smartphone to utilize the feature.
The retailer leak also reveals some core specifications including a 5.7-inch FHD screen, octa-core HiSilicon Kirin SoC, 3 GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, and 20 MP and 8 MP rear and front cameras, respectively. The smartphone will make use of Huawei's Emotion UI 3.1 with Android 5.1 Lollipop at its core.
