Ultenic U10: Cordless vacuum with up 23,000 Pa of suction power launches for US$189
Ultenic has launched its alternative to the Dyson V15 Detect, which it has called the U10. According to the manufacturer, the cordless vacuum cleaner has 'infrared dust detection technology' in its brush head, which allow it to detect and measure the amount of dust on the ground. Once it has done this, it can alert you with indication lights and automatically adjust the suction power with its built-in Auto-Boost function.
A 250 W motor lies at the heart of U10 that Ultenic claims can deliver up to 23,000 Pa suction power at 90,000 RPM. Ultenic has also included a HEPA Filtration System, four-stage 'Cyclone Filtration Technology' and a 'Optimal Straight Line Wind Track System' that supposedly keeps the motor, filter and dust cap aligned in a straight line to maximise the vacuum's efficiency.
The U10 has a 2,200 mAh battery that Ultenic claims will last up to 40 minutes on a single charge, albeit only in eco mode (10,000 Pa). If you switch to max mode, then this battery life estimate drops to 15 minutes. The U10 takes up to three hours to recharge though, which is, unfortunately, remains common for cordless vacuums.
The Ultenic U10 is available to order on Amazon (affiliate link) for US$189 (£189). Currently, Ultenic is offering US$40 off, or £37.80 for those in the UK. Ultenic sells the U10 in the Eurozone, too.
