Deal | Two Timex Swiss-made GMTs drop to record-low prices, including stainless-steel variant

Anyone tracking the Q Timex GMT can check and find out that $164 is the floor for this timepiece on Amazon. Well, Jomashop is currently selling the bracelet version at $134.

That reference is the TW2V38100, against a $259 list price. The rubber-strap version (TW2V38200) is also down to $104 from $239. Both share the same movement and case.

The movement distinguishes these from the rest of the Q line. Timex fits a Swiss quartz GMT caliber instead of the standard quartz used across the cheaper reissues — both dials carry a Swiss Made label. An independently adjustable 24-hour hand tracks a second time zone against the bezel.

The case measures 38 mm across and 12.5 mm tall in brushed and polished steel — the watch has 18 mm lugs and 50 m water resistance. The crystal is acrylic (matching the 1970s original the Q line revives). While it scratches easily, it does polish out. A date window is present at three — plus, the hands and markers are lumed. The TW2V38100 gets a black dial with a blue and red bezel on a steel bracelet; the TW2V38200 uses a black synthetic strap.

Jomashop is a grey-market retailer, which is why the prices are what they are. It is not an authorized Timex dealer, and it buys stock from dealers and distributors clearing inventory rather than from the brand. The watches are as genuine as it gets. This has two consequences: Timex will not honor its warranty on a grey-market purchase, so coverage comes from Jomashop instead. They both offer 1-year warranty, however. Returns are valid within 30 days in original condition, and shipping is deducted from the refund (plus, a restocking fee is possible on items judged used.
